Help us to help you
Contact Details
It is the patient's responsibility to provide the practice with an up-to-date and reliable contact address and phone number (home and mobile). Many reminders (eg for cervical smears or vaccinations) go astray because we have not been advised of such changes.
Also, please remember that, following our reminders, it is your responsibility to contact the practice when screening and other procedures are due.
Zero Tolerance
In line with all organisations that make up the NHS,we have a zero tolerance policy regarding aggressive or threatening behaviour and physical violence. Such behaviour will result in instant removal from our list and could result in police involvement and legal action. We believe that in stressful and difficult situations it is always better to be polite and smile for the benefit of all!
Confidentiality
All patient records are treated with the strictest confidentiality and we comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Freedom Of Information
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a publication scheme. A publication scheme is a guide to the ‘classes’ of information the practice intends to routinely make available.
This scheme is available from reception.
Suggestions Or Complaints
No organisation is ever perfect, but we constantly strive to give what we hope is the best possible service for our patients. We welcome suggestions and complaints as a way of finding what further improvements we can make. They should be directed to the practice manager or business manager or left at reception. We operate an in-house complaints procedure so that any difficulties you experience can be fully discussed and problems corrected where possible. The practice manager will be happy to give you details of this procedure.
